Ordinands’ Formation Programme
The Ordinands’ Formation Program accompanies those who have been discerned and selected for training towards ordained ministry in the Diocese of Cape Town.
Formation for ordained ministry is about far more than academic study. It is a process of becoming: growing in prayer, theological reflection, pastoral wisdom, ministerial competence, and Christ-like character. Through worship, study, supervised ministry, community life, and spiritual direction, ordinands are formed for a lifetime of service in the Church.
The Diocese seeks to form clergy who are rooted in the Anglican tradition, attentive to the needs of the world, and committed to proclaiming the Gospel with integrity and hope.
