As the Diocese of Cape Town prepares for the 68th Session of the Diocesan Synod from 9–11 July 2026, the Diocese invites all members to keep this important gathering in their prayers.
Please pray especially for Archbishop Thabo Makgoba, who will preside over the Synod, for the many people working tirelessly behind the scenes to prepare and manage the proceedings and for all clergy, parish representatives and organisational delegates who will gather to discern God’s will for the Diocese.
May the Holy Spirit guide every conversation, every decision, and every act of discernment, granting wisdom, unity, and grace to all who participate, as they together seek God’s purpose for the life and mission of the Diocese of Cape Town.
